Description

The villa is situated near the Abbey of Farneta, in Valdichiana, just a few kilometres from the famous Etruscan town of Cortona (Arezzo). Immersed in the surrounding olive groves and corn and sunflowers fields, the villa was built in the 18th century as a place where travellers could rest with their horses.

Today the villa is still an excellent accommodation for those who love the peace of the countryside. Cortona, Arezzo, Pienza, Montepulciano, Siena, Val d`Orcia, the Crete Senesi region and Lake Trasimeno are within easy driving distance.

This jewel of rural architecture has been recently renovated with an eye to preserving its original structure and furnished in the traditional Tuscan rustic style.

The 5000-square-metre garden is furnished for having meals al fresco. Guests can use the barbecue equipment in the external hall. The swimming pool (12x6 m; depth: 1-2 m) is shared with the owners, whom guests can contact in case of need.

The villa sleeps 6 people in 1 twin bedroom, 1 double bedroom and 1 double sofa bed, and has 2 bathrooms.
The villa consists in the kitchen, a living room with double sofa bed and fireplace, a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a twin bedroom (which can be transformed into a double bedroom) with ensuite bathroom.
