Location

The villa stands on the hills of Val d'Orcia, the area south of Siena that owes its name to the river that flows through it.

Val d'Orcia is widely renowned mainly for its wonderful landscape made of gentle hills covered with forests, olive groves and vineyards. In 2004, the "Parco Naturale, Artistico e Culturale della Val d'Orcia" (Natural, Artistic and Cultural Park of Val d'Orcia) established in the area entered the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites.

This charming area south of Siena is scattered with many medieval villages, such as Pienza and Montalcino, and thermal towns, such as Bagno Vignoni, Bagni San Filippo and San Casciano dei Bagni.


Description

The villa is an excellent accommodation for those who dream of relaxing holidays in a peaceful area in southern Tuscany. The building stands in panoramic position on a hill at the border between Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio, just a few kilometres from the thermal town of San Casciano dei Bagni. Pienza, Montepulciano, Siena, Montalcino, Mount Amiata, Perugia, Todi, Orvieto and other tourist destinations in central Italy are within short driving distance. A golf club is in proximity to the villa.

The panoramic swimming pool lying in the garden that surrounds the villa (10x5 m; depth: 1.40 m) commands the countryside.
The porch of the villa is furnished for having meals in the open air.

Accommodation

The recently renovated two-storey building can accommodate 8 guests in 1 twin bedroom and 3 double bedrooms and has 4 bathrooms.

The ground floor composes of kitchen, dining room and living room with fireplace. Three steps up lead to a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower, a twin bedroom and a bathroom with shower, whereas another three steps down lead to the laundry room.
On the first floor, which is accessed also through an external staircase, are a living room with fireplace, two double bedrooms (one with ensuite bathroom with shower) and a bathroom with shower.
All of the rooms on the ground floor have a direct access to the garden.

The villa comes with swimming pool, barbecue, working fireplace, Internet connection, satellite TV, oven, microwave oven, freezer, espresso coffee maker, dishwasher, washing machine, cot bed and private car parking place.
A maid service is supplied upon request.
Dinners are organised at the estate upon request.
