Location

The villa is in southern Tuscany, just a few kilometres from Montepulciano, a town in the province of Siena renowned all over the world for its celebrated Rosso and Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG wines.

The legend goes that the S-shaped town enclosed by three series of city walls dating from the 14th century was founded by the famous king Porsenna.
Throughout the centuries, Montepulciano was disputed between Siena and Florence and in 1390 entered into an alliance with the present capital town of Tuscany. Two centuries of political stability and cultural ferment followed. Most of the churches and of the aristocratic residences that are still to be admired were built in that period.


Description

The beautiful and modern villa stands in panoramic position on the hills of Valdichiana. The windows and the fully fenced garden overlook nearby Lake Trasimeno, where guests can windsurf, fish and sail.

In the wide terraced park that surrounds the villa lie the private swimming pool (13x6.5 m; depth: 1.20-2.50 m) and a wide solarium area.
A pergola is equipped with masonry barbecue and table with chairs for having meals in the open air.

The villa is an excellent departure point for visiting Montepulciano, Cortona, Arezzo, Siena, Pienza and many other important cities of art in Tuscany and central Italy.


Accommodation

The three-storey building can accommodate 6 guests in 1 twin bedroom and 2 double bedrooms, and has 4 bathrooms.

On the ground floor are the large entry hall, the kitchen, a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower, and a second bathroom with shower. Three steps lead to the living room with dining area and fireplace.
The basement composes of laundry room, a twin bedroom and a bathroom with bathtub.
The first floor consists of an open gallery opening onto the living room with access to two solarium terraces.
A double bedroom and a bathroom with shower are 50 metres away, under the pool level.

All of the rooms on the ground floor have a direct access to the garden.

The villa comes with swimming pool, solarium area, outdoor shower, masonry barbecue, ceiling fans, fireplace, Internet connection, satellite TV, DVD player, stereo system, oven, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and private car parking place.
A domestic help is supplied upon request.
