The villa stands in panoramic position atop a hill in Valdichiana, in Lucignano (Arezzo).

Lucignano is a town at the border between the provinces of Siena and Arezzo that owes its name to consul Lucio Licinio Lucullo, who in the 1st century BC settled with a contingent of the Roman army on the hill where today stands the small town.
Due to its geographic position, in the course of centuries Lucignano has been the object of bloody conflicts between Arezzo, Siena and Perugia. The town walls and the beautiful stronghold were built in the 14th century, when Lucignano was under Siena domination. The late-medieval urban organization and the fortress date back to the 16th century, when Florence conquered the town.

The 19th-century villa is surrounded by a garden in which are an annex with the barbecue equipment, the private swimming pool (9x6 m; depth: 1.20-1.80 m) and a gazebo furnished for having meals in the open air while admiring the splendid panorama of the valley below.

The villa is an excellent accommodation for those who would like to relax in the peaceful Tuscan countryside. Many important cities of art, including Arezzo, Sansepolcro, Anghiari, Siena, Florence and Montepulciano, are easily reached for pleasant one-day trips.
A tennis club, a riding stable, a golf club and some thermal establishments are just a few kilometres from the villa.
