Location

The farmhouse is located near Cortona (Arezzo), in Valdichiana.

Valdichiana stretches in southeastern Tuscany in the provinces of Arezzo and Siena. Its hills are covered with vineyards and olive groves for the production of famous DOCG wines and an excellent extra-virgin olive oil. Chianina meat, Sinalunga cured meats and the pecorino cheese are some of the most renowned culinary delicacies of Valdichiana.

Valdichiana is also rich in beautiful medieval towns and churches as well as in nature reserves, such as those of the lakes of Chiusi and Montepulciano. Finally yet importantly, this part of Tuscany, which was reclaimed in the second half of the 18th century, offers to those who like healthy holidays the opportunity to spend some time in the spas in Chianciano Terme and San Casciano dei Bagni.


Description

The farmhouse standing in panoramic position on a hill near Cortona is a beautiful stone building that has been renovated with an eye to preserving its original structure and furnished in the traditional Tuscan rustic style.
The terraced garden that surrounds the house commands the valley below, and is furnished with table and chairs for having meals in the open air. In the garden are also a small stone swimming pool (3.5x4 m) with a hydromassage system and the barbecue equipment.

Arezzo, Sansepolcro, Caprese Michelangelo, Siena, Anghiari, Florence, Casentino with its castles and forests and the Chianti region are easily reached by car for pleasant one-day jaunts.


Accommodation

The two-storey building can accommodate 5+1 guests in 1 single bedroom, 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom and 1 sofa bed, and has 2 bathrooms.

On the ground floor are the entry hall, the kitchen with dining area and a fireplace, a living room with dining area and a fireplace, a second living room with a sofa bed, a single bedroom and a bathroom with whirlpool bathtub.
The first floor, which is accessed also by an external stair, composes of a twin bedroom, a double bedroom and a bathroom with whirlpool shower.

The farmhouse comes with swimming pool with hydromassage system, barbecue equipment, fireplace, Internet connection, satellite TV, air conditioning, oven, freezer, dishwasher, whirlpool bathtub and shower, washing machine, iron, cot bed and private car-parking place.
