Farmhouses

Location

The farmhouse is situated near Rapolano Terme, in the Crete Senesi, a region in southern Tuscany at the border between the provinces of Siena and Arezzo widely renowned for its almost lunar landscape.
In the Middle Ages this bare and almost plantless region was called "deserto di Accona" (desert of Accona). In the Crete Senesi stand the medieval towns of Buonconvento, Asciano and Monte Oliveto Maggiore. Rapolano Terme is widely renowned for its thermal waters.


Description

Standing atop a hill, the farmhouse affords a wonderful view of the surrounding countryside. The building is located at the centre of 20 hectares of woodland and olive groves.

In the wide garden that surrounds the stone building lies the private swimming pool (12x6 m; depth: 1.20-1.80 m). The pool side is furnished with sunshades and sun loungers.

The barbecue equipment is at guests` disposal in the stone courtyard furnished with table and chairs for having meals al fresco.


Accommodation

The two-storey building sleeps 9+2 guests in 1 triple bedroom, 3 double bedrooms and 2 single supplementary beds; it has 4 bathrooms.

The ground floor composes of wide entry hall, kitchen, dining room, living room with fireplace, laundry room and a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom.
On the first floor are a living room with fireplace, a triple bedroom with ensuite bathroom and two double bedrooms with ensuite bathroom.
Two supplementary single beds can be added in the triple bedroom and in one of the double bedrooms.


Facilities and Services

The farmhouse comes with swimming pool, barbecue equipment, working fireplace, satellite TV, DVD player, CD player, Internet connection, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, cot beds and private car parking space.
A cook and a maid service are supplied upon request.

A cafe, a restaurant and a mini market are in Palazzuolo (2.5 km). Other shops and services are in Monte San Savino (10 km).
A riding stable, a tennis club and two thermal establishments are in Rapolano Terme (15 km).
