Farmhouses

Location

The farmhouse is located in the countryside between Siena and Florence, a few kilometres from San Gimignano, a Tuscan town renowned for its towers. At present only 16 of the original 72 towers are left: Torre Rognosa is the most ancient and Torre Grossa is the highest.

In historic centre of the small town, Piazza della Cisterna surrounded by medieval houses and towers -, the Collegiate church (the Duomo of San Gimignano), the Palazzo del Podestà and Piazza Sant'Agostino are worth a visit.

San Gimignano is also the hometown of Vernaccia, a famous white wine to whom is dedicated the Museo del vino e della Vernaccia di San Gimignano.


Description

Situated between Florence and Siena, the farmhouse is an excellent accommodation for those who would like to visit the medieval villages, the parish churches and the wineries scattered in the Chianti region, Volterra and Colle Val d'Elsa, which are all within easy driving distance.
A riding stable, a golf club and a tennis club are in proximity to the property.

The barbecue equipment and the private swimming pool (10x5 m; depth: 1.40-1.60 m) are in the wide and fully fenced park equipped for having meals in the open air that surrounds the building.


Accommodation

The majestic two-storey building is divided into four apartments but is rented as a single unit. In total, it can accommodate 20 guests in 4 twin bedrooms, 4 double bedrooms and 2 double sofa beds, and has 5 bathrooms.

Apartment 1 is on the ground floor and composes of kitchen, living room with a double sofa bed, a twin bedroom, a double bedroom and two bathrooms.
Apartments 2 and 3 are on the ground floor; both of them compose of kitchen, a twin bedroom, a double bedroom and a bathroom.
Apartment 4 is on the first floor and consists of a large living room with fireplace, kitchen corner and a double sofa bed, a twin bedroom, a double bedroom and a bathroom.

Apartment 4 features also a balcony overlooking the park and the swimming pool.

All the twin bedrooms can be converted into double bedrooms upon request.

The farmhouse comes with swimming pool, barbecue, fireplace, Internet connection, satellite TV, microwave oven, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, cot beds and private car parking space.
A cook and a domestic help are available upon request.

A food shop is 1 kilometre from the farmhouse.
Other shops and services of any kind are 3 kilometres from the property.
A tennis club, a riding stable and a golf club are 7 kilometres from the estate.
