Villas at the Sea

Location

The villa stands on Argentario promontory, in southern Tuscany, in the province of Grosseto.

In origin Argentario was an island as the isles of Giglio and Giannutri, which it commands. In the course of the centuries, the sea currents and the River Albenga have created two strips of land called "tomboli", connecting the promontory to the mainland.

Argentario was probably inhabited in Etruscan times. The Spaniards established their rule over Argentario promontory around the middle of the 16th century, and built the numerous fortresses that can still be admired.


Description

The villa is about 500 metres from the beach of Feniglia, which is reached on foot, by bike and, in summer, by a convenient shuttle service (the shuttle stop is 100 metres from the estate). Orbetello, Cala Galera and Porto Ercole are within easy distance of the villa, as well.
A riding stable, a golf club and some thermal baths are within 20 kilometres of the estate.

In the garden furnished for guests to have meals al fresco are a private tennis court, the barbecue equipment and a small whirlpool pool.
A sauna is at guests' disposal in one of the mines from which silver was extracted in the late 19th century. A second mine has been converted into a wine cellar.


Accommodation

The three buildings that compose the complex accommodated 4+7 guests in 2 double bedrooms, 3 double sofa beds and 1 single sofa bed; the complex has 3 bathrooms.

The villa composes of kitchen, living room with a double sofa bed, a double bedroom and a bathroom.
The annexed cottage consists in a living room with a double sofa bed, a double bedroom and a bathroom.
The third building has an outdoor kitchenette; inside it is divided into a living room with a single and a double sofa bed and a bathroom.


Facilities and Services

The villa comes with small whirlpool pool, sauna, bicycles, tennis court, barbecue equipment, working fireplace, air conditioning, satellite TV, microwave oven, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, cot beds and private car parking space.
A maid service is available upon request.

A bus stop is in front of the gate.
A restaurant is about 100 metres from the villa, whereas other shops and services of any kind are in Porto Ercole (3 km).
A golf club and a riding stable are within 2 kilometres of the estate.
Thermal baths are 20 kilometres from the property.
