Villas at the Sea

Location

The villa is located in Versilia countryside, just a few kilometres from Viareggio (Lucca), the town of Carnival.

The famous seaside resort on the Tuscan coast was founded in the first half of the 16th century in an area that in the past had been the theatre of the struggle between Pisa and Lucca for the control over the littoral. Nowadays Viareggio is a lovely town rich in Art Nouveau buildings from the early 20th century that each year hosts one of the most renowned carnival celebrations in Europe. In February, floats and masks parade along the Passeggiata a mare, the pedestrian street along the coast. The floats are prepared in the so-called Cittadella del Carnevale, where in the summer are held concerts and a festival devoted to Giorgio Gaber (a famous Italian singer-songwriter, actor and playwright).


Description

The villa stands in panoramic position on a hill covered with olive groves and vineyards and is surrounded by a wide fully fenced garden furnished with gazebos, tables and chairs for having meals al fresco.
The private swimming pool (8x5 m; depth: 1.60 m) that lies a few metres from the villa has a salt disinfection system and is exclusively reserved to guests.

Important Tuscan cities of art, such as Lucca and Pisa, and the villages of Garfagnana and Lunigiana are easily reached by car for pleasant one-day trips. Some tennis courts, a golf club and a riding stable are within a few kilometres of the villa.


Accommodation

The three-storey building can accommodate up to 14 guests in 7 double bedrooms and has 7 bathrooms.

The ground floor composes of kitchen, dining room, two double bedrooms and two bathrooms (one with bathtub and one with shower).
On the first floor are the library, the TV room and three double bedrooms with ensuite bathroom (two with shower and one with bathtub).
The second floor consists of two double bedrooms with ensuite bathroom with shower.

One of the bedroom on the ground floor and the three bedrooms on the first floor can be transformed into twin bedrooms.

The villa comes with swimming pool, barbecue, working fireplace, air conditioning, satellite TV, DVD player, Internet connection, American-style coffee maker, electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine, cot bed and private car parking space.
A cook, a baby sitter and a maid service are supplied upon request.

Shops and services of any kind are 3 kilometres from the villa.
A tennis club and a riding stable are 5 kilometres from the estate.
A golf club is 11 kilometres from the property.
