Location

The luxurious 17th-century villa is located in Lower Valdarno, just a few kilometres south of Lucca, the town in north-western Tuscany renowned for its 16th-17th century walls.

With its monuments and palaces, Lucca is one of the most important Tuscan cities of art. Widely renowned are also the square of the amphitheatre, the Duomo dedicated to San Martino, the church of San Michele in Foro, the Torre Guinigi and the Torre delle Ore. The narrow Via Fillungo is Lucca main shopping street.

Around Lucca are many wonderful villas, in the past the country residences of the most important aristocratic families of the town.

Every year the town of the Museo Nazionale del Fumetto e dell'Immagine hosts Lucca Comics and Games, an international festival devoted to comics, role playing, board games and animation. In the summer, Lucca Summer Festival attracts to the town many music lovers.


Description

The elegant building is surrounded by a wide park of about 10,000 square metres divided into two well-tended lawns. The first lawn is accessed through a path lined with cypress trees and rose-bushes; the second is accessed through the kitchen.
The private saltwater swimming pool (12x6 m; depth: 1.25-1.50 m) furnished with sun loungers and sunshades lies in the first lawn together with a shower with sun-warmed water and a dressing booth; the second lawn is furnished with a wooden table for guests to have meals in the open air.

The ideal accommodation for relaxing in the peaceful Tuscan countryside, the villa is just a few kilometres from Lucca and Pisa, which are easily reached by car, as well as the Versilia seaside resorts and the Pisan coast. Those who care about the well-being of their body can visit San Giuliano Terme thermal baths. A tennis club and a riding stable are in proximity to the villa.

In case of need, guests can contact the housekeeper who lives close to the villa.


Accommodation

The three-storey building accommodates 10+1 guests in 4 double bedrooms, 1 twin bedroom and 1 supplementary single bed, and has 5 bathrooms.

The entrance floor composes of entry hall, dining room, two large living rooms and two double bedrooms with ensuite bathroom (one with a canopied bed and the other with air conditioning).
On the upper floor are a large living room, a library, a wardrobe-room, two double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms (one with air conditioning) and a twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom.
On the lower floor (which corresponds to the ground floor at the back of the villa) are the kitchen and a breakfast room.

A supplementary single bed can be added in the wardrobe-room upon request.
