Description

Living in the wonderfully frescoed rooms of the luxurious villa it will be like breathing the magic atmosphere of bygone times. With its battlements and marble sculptures, the 17th-century villa stands in the countryside around Poggibonsi (Siena), in Valdelsa. Many Tuscan cities of art, including San Gimignano, Colle Val d`Elsa, Volterra, Siena and Florence, are within easy driving distance.

The elegant building, whose rooms are furnished with valuable pieces, is surrounded by a wide park rich in century-old cypress trees and box hedges, among which lie two small lakes.

The private swimming pool (7x15 m; depth: 0.60-1.86 m) lies in the north-west corner of the garden, about 100 metres from the villa, and is exclusively reserved to guests. Next to the swimming pool stands a marble pavilion from where guests can admire the wonderful Chianti hills.

An area of the park is equipped with table and chairs for guests to taste the dishes prepared in the stone annex situated in the garden or with the barbecue equipment.

An external shower, a sink and a half bathroom are at guests` disposal in the park.

In case of need, guests can contact the owners of the villa, who live nearby.


Accommodation

The villa has 3 double-bedded room, 2 single bedrooms, 2 twin-bedded rooms, 1 single armchair bed and 1 single sofa bed, thus sleeping 14 people; it also has 3 bathrooms and 1 half bathroom.
On the ground floor are the kitchen, a pantry, a frescoed office, the TV room, a reading room, a living room with piano, a laundry room and a half bathroom.
The first floor composes of a room for playing cards, living room with fireplace, a bedroom with canopied bed and wardrobe room, a single bed, a double bedroom with single armchair bed, and a bathroom.
The second floor consists in a suite with two living rooms, a double-bedded room with fireplace and a bathroom; two double bedrooms (one with single sofa bed); a single bedroom; a bathroom.

The villa comes with swimming pool, barbecue equipment, fans, working fireplaces, satellite TV, DVD player, Internet connection, stereo system with CD player, fridge, freezer, electric oven, microwave oven, kettle, coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, hair dryer, cot beds and private car parking space.
The following services are supplied upon request: maid service, baby-sitter, cook, breakfast service.

Shops and services are in Poggibonsi (2 km).
A tennis club is 2 kilometres from the villa, and a golf club is 11 kilometres away.
