Location

The magnificent villa is located in Valdinievole, just a few kilometres from the famous thermal town of Montecatini Terme.

Like many other Tuscan towns, over the centuries Montecatini was the object of struggles and claims involving the Medicis and the families that ruled the other towns of the region. The Ghibelline army conquered Montecatini in 1315, but just a few years later it passed again under the rule of Florence. In the second half of the 16th century, the Florentine army almost laid waste the town.

Nowadays Montecatini Terme is a celebrated thermal town and one of most important Italian tourist destinations. Many famous Italian and foreing politicians, writers and poets, fashion designers and artists have spent their holidays in Montecatini Terme.

The existing thermal baths were built in the 17th century, after the area was completely drained by order of Grand Duke Leopold, but the first thermal facilites date from 1530.


Description

The luxury 19th-century villa stands in panoramic position in Valdinievole. The windows and the garden overlook the woods that cover the surrounding hills.
Montecatini Terme thermal baths are within a short driving distance.

The wide garden that surrounds the villa is exclusively reserved to guests and is furnished for having meals in the open air. In the garden is also the barbecue equipment.
A few dozen metres from the building lies the private swimming pool (15x5 m; depth: 1.10-1.40 m), which, like the garden, is exclusively reserved to guests. An external shower is next to the swimming pool.
Close to the villa stands also a small private chapel.

The villa has been recently renovated and furnished with elegant luxury items.

In case of need, guests can contact the keepers responsible for the maintenance of the garden and the swimming pool.


Accommodation

The elegant three-storey building can accommodate 10+2 guests in 1 twin bedroom, 4 double bedrooms and 1 double sofa bed; the villa has 5 bathrooms.

The ground floor composes of the entry hall with double sofa bed and fireplace, and the laundry room.
On the first floor are the kitchen with a dining area, the living room with a dining area, a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower.
The second floor composes of a twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower and three double bedrooms with ensuite bathroom with shower.


Facilities and Service

The villa comes with swimming pool, barbecue equipment, satellite TV, Internet connection, fireplace, freezer, microwave oven, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and private car parking place.
A maid service is available upon request.

Food shops are in Massa (2 km).
Other shops and services of any kind are in Montecatini Terme (8 km).
