Description

The Tyrrhenian Sea, the hills of Uccellina, Mount Argentario promontory and the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago are just some of the beauties that can be admired from the elegant villa built in the 11th century on a bluff in Maremma, close to Orbetello (Grosseto).

As the many finds that have been found in the surroundings demonstrate, the area of the villa was already inhabited at the time of the Etruscans. When the villa was built, however, it was the Aldobrandeschi family who dominated the territory and had the sighting tower erected in order to protect the place from the Saracens.

A wide fully fenced garden surrounds the building.
Two terraces are furnished with sun loungers.
The private swimming pool (4x6 m; depth: 1.20 m) with a view of the sea is exclusively reserved to guests.
The tower has a private access to the sea.

The tower is an excellent accommodation for those who want to celebrate their wedding or a special event in an elegant and charming setting, which made the background for some scenes of the film "Quantum of Solace", starring Daniel Craig.


Accommodation

The two-storey villa accommodates up to 12 people in 2 twin bedrooms and 4 double bedrooms; it has 6 bathrooms.
The ground floor composes of kitchen, dining room with fireplace and three bedrooms with ensuite bathroom.
On the first floor is a large living room with fireplace and access to a panoramic terrace furnished with sun loungers and table and chairs for having meals al fresco.
The sighting tower is accessed from the ground floor. It composes of a living room, a dressing room, a bedroom with fireplace and a bathroom with shower.

The annex is divided into a living room and two bedrooms with ensuite bathroom.


Facilities and Services

The villa is provided with swimming pool, barbecue, working fireplace, ceiling fans, air conditioning, satellite TV, DVD player, Internet connection, oven, microwave oven, dishwasher, washing machine and private car parking space.
A cook, a baby sitter and breakfast and maid services are supplied upon request.

Shops, services and a tennis club are in Fonteblanda (1 km).
A riding stable is 2 kilometres from the villa.
A golf club is 10 kilometres from the estate.
