Location

The villa stands atop a hill in Lower Valdarno, just a few kilometres from Vinci, in the province of Florence.

Seen from above, Vinci historic centre resemble a two-masted boat - the two masts being the bell tower of the church of Santa Croce and the tower of the fortress of the Count Guidi family -; that is the reason why it is also called "Castel della Nave" (the castle of the boat).
In Leonardo`s birthplace are various institutions named after the famous Tuscan genius (the Biblioteca Leonardiana, the Museo Leonardiano and the Museo Ideale "Leonardo da Vinci"), which exhibit the models of some of Leonardo`s machines.


Description

The villa is an excellent accommodation not only for those who want to relax walking or bike riding in the Tuscan countryside, but also for art and culture lovers, who can easily go and visit Pisa, Florence, Lucca, Certaldo and San Gimignano with their car. A tennis club, a riding stable and a golf club are within a few kilometres of the villa.

The villa is surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and a wide park scattered with century-old trees.
In the park are the private swimming pool (13x6 m; depth: 1.10-2.50 m), a table-tennis table and a football pitch.
Guests can have their meals outdoor under the pergola in front of the swimming pool, where is also the barbecue equipment.


Accommodation

The two-storey building sleeps 7+2 guests in 1 twin bedroom, 2 double bedrooms, 1 single bedroom and 2 supplementary single beds; it has 2 bathrooms and 1 half bathroom.

The ground floor consists of entry hall, living room, kitchen, dining room, laundry room, winter garden and a half bathroom.
On the first floor are a twin bedroom, two double bedrooms, a single bedroom and two bathrooms (one with whirlpool bathtub and one with shower).

Two supplementary single beds can be added in the bedrooms. The rooms on the ground floor have a direct access to the garden.

The villa comes with swimming pool, football pitch, barbecue equipment, table-tennis table, Internet connection, air conditioning, satellite TV, DVD player, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, whirlpool bathtub, cot beds, bicycles and private car parking space.
