Location

In origin a farmhouse, the elegant villa stands on the hills that separate the territory of the city of Florence from the Chianti region, in a particularly peaceful area of the Tuscan countryside rich in still less-known artistic treasures, such as the oratory of Santa Caterina in Bagno a Ripoli.

A stay at the villa offers the opportunity to watch some of the folkloric events that every year take place in the environs of the villa: the historic reenactment of the Passion of Jesus, in Grassina on Good Friday, and the Palio delle Contrade - Giostra della Stella, in Bagno a Ripoli on the second Sunday of September.


Description

The skilfully renovated and elegantly furnished ancient villa affords wonderful views of the surrounding hills covered with vineyards, olive groves and orchards.

Florence historic centre and its celebrated monuments are a few kilometres from the property and are easily reached by car. Thanks to its geographical position, the villa is also an excellent departure point for visiting Arezzo, Siena, the Chianti region, Lucca, Pisa and many other Tuscan places of historic and artistic interest.

A wide terraced garden stretches around the elegant building with terracotta-tiled and parquet floors and beamed ceilings. The garden is equipped with a swing for children, deck chairs, sun loungers, a gazebo and some beach umbrellas.

The private swimming pool (18x8 m; depth: 1.30-2.50 m) provided with whirlpool bathtub and the tennis court are exclusively reserved to guests. The whirlpool bathtub can also be used as a children's swimming pool. A dressing room with toilette and showers is by the poolside.

A kitchen with barbecue and wood-burning oven and a dining area are in an old barn.

A laundry area is in the garden.


Accommodation

The two-storey building can accommodate 8 guests in 1 bedroom with two single beds and 3 double bedrooms, and has 3 bathrooms and 2 half bathrooms.

The ground floor consists of entry hall with dining table, kitchen, large living room, sitting room with fireplace and game table and a half bathroom.

The sleeping area is on the first floor and composes of a bedroom with a single bed and a pull-out bed provided with a private half bathroom, three double bedrooms (two with direct access to the outside and whirlpool bathtub) and a bathroom with shower.
