Location

The farmhouse is perched on a hill in Empoli countryside, near Montespertoli.

Montespertoli is a small town just a few dozen kilometres west of Florence and the villages of Florentine Chianti.

The countryside around Montespertoli is scattered with villas and castles that in the past centuries belonged to the most important families of the Florentine aristocracy. Particularly renowned are the castle of Montegufoni, once belonging to the Acciaiolis, and the castle of Sonnino, which for centuries belonged to the Machiavelli family.

Every year in May, Montespertoli hosts the Mostra del Chianti, a one-week event dedicated to the famous red wine renowned all over the world.


Description

The farmhouse situated in the heart of Tuscany is the ideal lodging for those who dream of relaxing holidays in close contact with nature. Art and culture lover will have the opportunity to visit Florence, Siena, Lucca, Pisa, Volterra, San Gimignano and many other tourist destinations within short driving distance. The farmhouse is also an excellent departure point for visiting the many wineries that produce the Chianti wine.

The elegant brick building overlooks the typical Tuscan landscape made of rolling hills covered with vineyards and olive groves.
Around the house featuring brick vaulted ceilings and terracotta-tiled floors stretches a wide garden equipped with two gazebos and outdoor furniture.
The private swimming pool (12x6 m; depth: 1.40 m) exclusively reserved to guests affords a wonderful view of the surrounding countryside. Next to the swimming pool stands an outdoor shower.


Accommodation

The two-storey building can accommodate 10 guests in 2 twin bedrooms and 3 double bedrooms, and has 4 bathrooms.

On the ground floor are a kitchen with dining area, a living room with fireplace, the laundry room, two double bedrooms and two bathrooms with shower.
The first floor composes of kitchen with dining area, large living room with fireplace, a double bedroom with a private bathroom with shower, two twin bedrooms and a bathroom with shower.

The two twin bedrooms can be converted into double bedrooms upon request.


Facilities and Services

The villa comes with swimming pool, outdoor shower, barbecue, air conditioning, fireplace, satellite TV, DVD player, Internet connection, CD player with a collection of CDs, oven, microwave oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, iron, cot bed and private car parking place.
A domestic help is supplied upon request.
Dinners with traditional Tuscan dishes are organised upon request.

Shops and services of any kind are 3 kilometres from the farmhouse.
