Location

The farmhouse stands in panoramic location on the hills between Valdisieve and Mugello, near Dicomano.

In origin, the small town in the province of Florence was a market village, and every year it still hosts two important fairs, one in spring and one in autumn. Another appreciated event dedicated to Saint Onofrio takes place every year in June.

From a historic and artistic point of view, Dicomano offers various things to see: particularly interesting are the archaeological site of Frascole and the oratory of Sant'Onofrio, which houses a painting attributed to Andrea del Castagno.


Description

The 15th-century farmhouse standing in a very peaceful area of the Florentine countryside between Mugello and Valdisieve is just a few dozen kilometres from Florence historic centre, which is easily reached both by car and by train. The farmhouse is also an excellent departure point for one-day trips to the nearby Mugello mountains, at the discovery of less-renowned artistic and nature treasures.

The complex comprises a fully renovated barn and its outbuilding. The paved area between the two buildings is furnished for dining outdoor. The private swimming pool (14x7 m; depth: 1.20-1.50 m), the barbecue equipment and a table-tennis table are in the garden that surrounds the two houses.


Accommodation

In total, the ancient barn and its outbuilding can accommodate 6 guests in 1 twin bedroom and 2 double bedrooms and have 2 bathrooms.

The barn is a two-storey building that can accommodate 4 guest in 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom and has 1 bathroom.
The ground floor composes of a large living room with kitchen corner and dining area.
On the lower floor (which is accessed also from outside) are a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a bathroom with shower.

The outbuilding can accommodate 2 guests and consists of a dining area with kitchen corner, a double bedroom with a walk-in closet and a bathroom with shower.

The farmhouse comes with swimming pool, barbecue, table-tennis table, Internet connection, stereo system, satellite TV, electric cooker, small electric oven, toaster, American-style coffee maker, freezer, washing machine, cot bed, high chair and private car parking place.
A domestic help and a breakfast service are supplied upon request.
Dinners can be organised at the property upon request.
A food shopping service at arrival is available upon request.
On the day of arrival are offered a welcome buffet dinner.

Shops and services of any kind and the railway station with trains to Florence city centre are 7 kilometres from the property.
