Wine Tours: At the Discovery of the Chianti Wine Making Process
Renting a villa or a farmhouse in Chianti you will have the opportunity to visit the many wineries in the area (even one per day!!). In fact, the farms that follow the entire wine-making process, from grape harvest to bottling, usually open their doors to visitors. They organize guided tours to the vineyards - if they are not too far from the farmhouse - and the cellars (apart during the harvest). Each visit ends with a guided tasting of the best wines produced in the farm. Moreover, visitors are always offered the opportunity to buy them at favourable prices, and, sometimes, to have the bottles sent at home. Visits are precisely scheduled and usually take an hour. Guides usually speak Italian and, sometimes, the main European languages.
