From From San Lorenzo to Santa Maria Novella Florence

From Piazza San Lorenzo, in ten minutes you can reach Piazza Santa Maria Novella and you will have the opportunity of admiring two of the most beautiful churches in the world.

From Piazza San Lorenzo walk anticlockwise along the perimeter of the basilica and gad about the stands of the characteristic market of San Lorenzo up to Piazza Madonna degli Aldobrandini - or simply Piazza Madonna, as it is known in Florence. From here, you can see the famous Cappella dei Principi (Chapel of the Princes), the funeral chapel of the Medici family.

With Palazzo Aldobrandini at your back, walk towards Piazza Santa Maria Novella. After crossing some Florentine historical streets, you will see the church of Santa Maria Novella in front of you, with its famous marble façade by Leon Battista Alberti.
