The Oltrarno district, once Florence working-class area, is now rich in antique shops, craftsman workshops, trattorias serving typical Florentine dishes, street markets and many other elements characteristic of "the Florence of the past". It is not unusual seeing Florentine craftsmen working on the narrow Oltrarno streets.
